Bonavista Downs Skatepark Refresh

Bonavista Downs Skate Park has long been a place where people of all ages can come together. It’s free, it’s open, and it’s well-loved… but it was starting to show its age.

With the help of an ActivateYYC grant and some dedicated volunteers, Bonavista Downs Community Association was able to give the park some much-needed attention. Project organizers were happy to report that many local youths who regularly use the park also had fun pitching in on the repairs. The volunteer team resurfaced the majority of ramps and park features, making the park safer, smoother, and longer-lasting.
