Gladstone Park Activations

Originally, the project aimed to install traffic calming equipment, but when the City of Calgary provided the necessary barriers at no cost, the community redirected the extra funds to enhance two triangular parks on Gladstone Road. The neighbourhood was able to set up a giant chess board and other games, seating, a fireplace, planters, and more.

At East Gladstone Park, the installation of new park lights became a memorable moment when the lights turned on as dusk fell and children cheered in delight. These activations brought more use and community connection to small, underutilized parks.
