Killarney Basketball & Benches

Killarney Community Association brought a new seasonal recreation opportunity to their site by installing a pop-up basketball court and seating in their parking lot. After hearing strong interest for basketball through a community amenity survey, the CA introduced two temporary basketball nets available for public use from May through October.

Community members helped paint court lines and add handprint artwork, creating a welcoming and playful atmosphere, while a small portion of the lot was designated for seasonal play. With added seating and storage to support the space, the court became a place for people to practice, connect, and have fun. This project offered residents another reason to visit, gather, and enjoy the community association’s amenities.
