Renfrew Community Board

This project brought a new communication board and resource library to Renfrew’s community playground—an inviting, easy-to-use tool that helps kids and families interact, play, and navigate space together. We coordinated the design and creation of the board, consulted with community members to make sure it felt welcoming and accessible, and oversaw its installation as a lasting addition to the park. It has already helped create a more inclusive, informed, and connected experience for everyone who uses the space.

A favourite part of the project was the partnership that formed with a local, family-owned business. After painting Renfrew’s community kitchen earlier in the year, they took on this new project with enthusiasm, helping bring the communication board to life in a way that exceeded expectations. The collaboration sparked a meaningful relationship that has continued to grow.

Community awareness spread naturally through community meetings and everyday conversations around the playground. The communication board now stands as a simple but impactful addition that strengthens connection, reflects our community values, and enhances the experience of the families who gather in this space.
