Good Places Project

Providing a grant program, workshops, and capacity building opportunities to support community-led activation of public spaces in Calgary.

Good Places helps Calgarians bring their ideas for public spaces to life. We fund and support projects that make public spaces more welcoming and vibrant through placemaking. Placemaking is a community-driven approach to designing and activating public spaces to reflect the needs, identities, and aspirations of the people who use them, turning shared spaces into places where people connect, belong, and take pride. Working alongside community groups, we spark creativity, build connections, and provide mentorship to design and deliver projects that enliven spaces and reflect the character of the community.
